Boyle Co. & Danville Dual
Tonight the wrestlers faced Boyle County and Danville, winning both duals! This was another great victory for the Lafayette Generals, and we want to thank all the fans, family, and friends who came out tonight to watch the team!
The team doesn’t have much time to rest, though, they will be facing another tournament this weekend, the Tates Creek Invitational at Tates Creek High School. Come on out and enjoy a full Saturday of wrestling, and see many top-ranked wrestlers compete!
Hilton Head, SC and Upcoming Duals

The Generals are home safe from an awesome trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina. They placed 6th out of 16 teams, coming from seven states.

Next up, this Wednesday, January 6th, The Generals will take on Danville and Boyle County at Lafayette High School, starting around 6:15pm. We’d love to fill the stands with fans, so come on out and support your wrestlers!
Lafayette Beats Henry Clay
Congrats to the Generals for beating Henry Clay in a dual on December 15th! It was Round 1 of the Region 7 Super Duals and the entire team contributed to the overall win. The boys now face the rest of Region 7 at the Super Duals in Montgomery County on Monday & Tuesday – the 21st and 22nd. Wish them luck as they need to score either 1st or 2nd to advance to the State Duals in January.
Wrestling Conditioning Schedule & Misc Info
Hi All – I’m excited that it is almost time for wrestling season!
Coach is starting conditioning this coming Monday September 21st. The schedule will be Monday through Thursday 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM in the green building and please remind the kids to dress appropriate for the weather. The official season and weight assessment begins on October 15th. All athletes are required to have their current sports physicals turned into Coach ASAP.
Football players please email coach and let him know your intent to join the team if you will not be able to attend the conditioning due to football practice.
More information coming soon on the first Parent Meeting and a softball game between the parents and kids.
The uniform samples have been ordered and we’ll hopefully have in hand by the end of this week so we can size the kids asap to get the uniforms on order to have in plenty of time for our first meet. The cost for the spirit package is $150.00 which includes an Under Armor pull over, UA shorts, UA bag, towel, and a 2-color tee shirt. Payment in full or a payment arrangement plan must be in place prior to the uniform order placement. The team provides the head gear and singlet. The boys need to provide their own shoes and practice clothing appropriate for weather conditions in which they are practicing.
In addition to the uniform cost there is also a mandatory one time $40.00 athlete insurance that is required to participate in any/all school sports – if you have already paid this fee for the 2009-2010 school year for another sport you are covered and the fee will not apply.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again soon.
